𝗗𝗜𝗚 𝗨𝗗𝗛𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗨𝗥 𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗘 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪𝗦 𝗖𝗬𝗕𝗘𝗥 𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗨𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗠𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗨𝗥𝗘𝗦, 𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗨𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗦𝗖𝗘𝗡𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗢 𝗜𝗡 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗜 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶, 𝟭𝟯 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲: 𝗠𝘀. 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗵 𝗥𝗶𝘇𝘃𝗶, 𝗜𝗣𝗦, 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝘂𝘁𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲, 𝗨𝗱𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝗿 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲, today visited the 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 (𝗗𝗣𝗢) 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶 and conducted a comprehensive review of cyber security-related issues and overall security preparedness of the district. During her visit, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗜𝗚 held a detailed interaction with officers and staff and issued on-the-spot directions emphasizing strict adherence to cyber security protocols. She directed all officers to use only official email IDs on office computers and strictly refrain from using personal emails for official work. She further instructed that all cyber security guidelines must be followed while handling computers and digital systems to prevent data breaches and cyber threats. The meeting was attended by Addl. SP Katra Sh. Vipan Chandran, JKPS; Addl. SP Reasi Sh. Iftkhar Ahmed, JKPS; SDPO Katra Dr. Bhishm Dubey, JKPS; Dy.SP Hqrs Reasi Sh. Vishal Singh Jamwal; Dy.SP DAR DPL Reasi Sh. Sarbjeet Singh; Dy.SP PC Pouni Ms. Samriti Sharma, JKPS; Dy.SP PC Arnas Sh. Hirdeyjeet Singh, JKPS and Dy.SP PC Mahore-Chassana Sh. Azer Ali Shah, JKPS, along with other officers. 𝗠𝘀. 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗵 𝗥𝗶𝘇𝘃𝗶, 𝗜𝗣𝗦, also reviewed the present security scenario of District Reasi and directed all officers to remain on high alert in view of the upcoming 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗗𝗮𝘆-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 celebrations. She stressed upon intensifying patrolling, area domination, and maintaining extra vigilance to ensure peace and public safety. Later, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗜𝗚 visited the District Police Lines (DPL) Reasi, where she inspected the Welfare Centre, GO Mess and Gymnasium. She appreciated the welfare initiatives and emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy and motivated force. The visit reinforced the commitment of District Police Reasi towards strengthening cyber security practices, enhancing operational readiness, and ensuring robust security arrangements across the district.

DC visits work sites in Birma, inspects progress on DDC Council building UDHAMPUR, DECEMBER 10: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai, accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Prem Singh and Assistant Commissioner Revenue Dr. Umesh Shan, today conducted a site visit to the Birma area to review progress of key development projects. During the inspection, the DC assessed the ongoing construction work of the DDC Council Building and inspected the proposed sites for the construction of the Industrial Training Institute and SPCA. She directed the concerned authorities to finalize the sites for these upcoming projects and expedite the processes. While inspecting the progress of the DDC Council Building, the DC emphasized the importance of timely completion and adherence to quality standards. She instructed the executing agencies to accelerate the pace of work, ensure effective mobilization of resources and complete the project within the stipulated timeframe.

Udhampur gears up for 3-day historic Devika Baisakhi mela DC reviews arrangements UDHAMPUR, MARCH 16: The District Administration Udhampur has started preparations for the for three-day historic Devika Baisakhi Mela, commencing from April 14, 2026. To ensure smooth and successful conduct of the event a meeting of district officers and prominent citizens was held today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Minga Sherpa here at Conference Hall DC Office Complex. The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Prem Singh; Assistant Commissioner Revenue Dr. Umesh Shan; Additional SP Sandeep Bhat; GM DIC Kishore Singh Katoch; officers from line departments, besides representatives from Beopar Mandal and civil society. The meeting held detailed deliberations on arrangements related to security, safe drinking water, power supply, sanitation, traffic management and first-aid services to facilitate the devotees and visitors expected to turn up in large numbers at the mela. The PHE and Civic authorities were asked to make adequate arrangements for drinking water and oversee sanitation and cleanliness. Chief Medical Officer was directed to deploy a team of doctors along with an ambulance to provide prompt healthcare services to visitors. Similarly, the Executive Engineer PDD was instructed to ensure uninterrupted power supply, while the Police Department would make necessary security and traffic arrangements at the mela venue. Other matters, including the finalization of cultural programmes, establishment of a control room, deployment of magistrates and medical teams and availability of fire tenders were also discussed at the meeting.

District-level floriculture event held at Udhampur under CSS–MIDH UDHAMPUR, MARCH 16: Department of Floriculture, Gardens & Parks, Udhampur today organized a District-Level event under CSS-MIDH at Udhampur. Deputy Commissioner, Minga Sherpa graced the occasion as the chief guest and formally inaugurated the programme. The event was organized under the guidance of Director Floriculture Vivek Modi, with the objective of promoting commercial floriculture, enhancing environmental beautification and empowering farmers through sustainable livelihood opportunities. The event was attended by Joint Director Floriculture Vikrant Sharma, Deputy Director Floriculture Sunil Singh, Assistant Floriculture Officer Pawan Kumar, Senior Scientist & Head KVK Reasi Dr. Banarasi Lal, Scientist Dr. Sanjay Koushal, Chief Horticulture Officer, District Agriculture Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, besides other officers and officials of Agriculture and allied departments. More than 300 farmers and stakeholders associated with floriculture and allied sectors participated enthusiastically in the programme. On the occasion, the DC inspected various stalls showcasing floriculture products, innovative cultivation techniques and government initiatives of Agriculture and allied departments. He also interacted with participating farmers and exhibitors and appreciated their efforts in adopting modern agricultural practices. While addressing the gathering, the DC emphasized the importance of such programmes in creating awareness among the public about various government schemes related to floriculture, agriculture and allied sectors. He highlighted that commercial floriculture holds immense potential to enhance farmers’ income while contributing to environmental beautification and sustainable development. Meanwhile, Assistant Floriculture Officer briefed the farmers about various Centrally Sponsored schemes available under the floriculture sector. Joint Director Floriculture Vikrant Sharma assured the farming community of every possible support from the department to promote floriculture activities in the district. Later, the chief guest distributed appreciation certificates to progressive farmers in recognition of their dedication and achievements in the field of floriculture.

उधमपुर, 28 फरवरी: उपायुक्त उधमपुर मिंगा शेरपा ने आज गवर्नमेंट मेडिकल कॉलेज (जीएमसी) उधमपुर के संबद्ध अस्पताल का दौरा किया और सर्वाइकल कैंसर के खिलाफ राष्ट्रीय एचपीवी अभियान का शुभारंभ किया। इस अवसर पर मेडिकल कॉलेज के प्राचार्य, मुख्य चिकित्सा अधिकारी, संबद्ध अस्पताल के चिकित्सा अधीक्षक तथा स्वास्थ्य एवं चिकित्सा शिक्षा विभाग के अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारी उपस्थित रहे। दौरे के दौरान उपायुक्त ने अस्पताल के विभिन्न अनुभागों का निरीक्षण किया, जिनमें ओपीडी, सीटी स्कैन, एक्स-रे, डायग्नोस्टिक यूनिट, सर्जिकल यूनिट, जनरल मेडिसिन विभाग और ट्रॉमा सेंटर शामिल हैं। उपायुक्त ने जीएमसी प्रशासन के साथ एक विस्तृत समीक्षा बैठक की अध्यक्षता भी की, जिसमें संबद्ध अस्पताल के समग्र कार्य संचालन का मूल्यांकन किया गया। बैठक में स्टाफ की उपलब्धता, ओपीडी सेवाएं, बुनियादी ढांचे की स्थिति, दवाइयों और जांच सुविधाओं की उपलब्धता के साथ-साथ 200 बिस्तरों वाले जिला अस्पताल के निर्माण और जीएमसी के अस्थायी भवन के निर्माण कार्यों की प्रगति की समीक्षा की गई। समयपालन और मरीजों को अनुकूल सेवाएं प्रदान करने के महत्व पर जोर देते हुए उपायुक्त ने अस्पताल प्रशासन को सेवाओं की समयबद्ध उपलब्धता सुनिश्चित करने तथा परिसर में स्वच्छता और साफ-सफाई बनाए रखने के निर्देश दिए।
