𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗵 𝗥𝗶𝘇𝘃𝗶, 𝗜𝗣𝗦, 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝘂𝘁𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲, 𝗨𝗱𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝗿 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲, today visited the 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 (𝗗𝗣𝗢) 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶 and conducted a comprehensive review of cyber security-related issues and overall security preparedness of the district. During her visit, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗜𝗚 held a detailed interaction with officers and staff and issued on-the-spot directions emphasizing strict adherence to cyber security protocols. She directed all officers to use only official email IDs on office computers and strictly refrain from using personal emails for official work. She further instructed that all cyber security guidelines must be followed while handling computers and digital systems to prevent data breaches and cyber threats. The meeting was attended by Addl. 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗵 𝗥𝗶𝘇𝘃𝗶, 𝗜𝗣𝗦, also reviewed the present security scenario of District Reasi and directed all officers to remain on high alert in view of the upcoming 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗗𝗮𝘆-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 celebrations. She stressed upon intensifying patrolling, area domination, and maintaining extra vigilance to ensure peace and public safety. Later, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗜𝗚 visited the District Police Lines (DPL) Reasi, where she inspected the Welfare Centre, GO Mess and Gymnasium. She appreciated the welfare initiatives and emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy and motivated force. The visit reinforced the commitment of District Police Reasi towards strengthening cyber security practices, enhancing operational readiness, and ensuring robust security arrangements across the district.

Police Post Kakryal Rescued 6 bovine animals. In the intervening night of 31.12.2025 and 01.12.2026 one Tata load carrier having regd. no. JK19A5279 coming from Maghal side moving towards Udhampur side was stopped for checking at sool naka of Police Post Kakryal, but the vehicle dodged naka and turned back arround towards Maghal katra and tried to flee. It was chased, officials of Police post kakryal and caught but taking benefit of the dark the driver fled away but the vehicle was caught by police. Upon checking, the vehicle was found loaded with 6 buffaloes (bovine animals) tied in cruel manner which were rescued. On this, has been registered under relevant sections of law and investigation underway. The whole operation was conducted by SI Akhilesh Khajuria Incharge Police Post Kakryal under the leadership of SHO Katra Insp Ranjeet Rao, and SDPO katra Sh. Bhishm Dubey and under the supervision of SP Katra Sh. Vipin Chandran. Under the over all supervison SSP Reasi Sh. Paramvir Singh.

लगभग 1850 बजे नियमित गश्त के दौरान, रौन डोमैल चौक के पास, उधमपुर पुलिस ने बट्टल बलियां की ओर से आ रहे दो संदिग्ध व्यक्तियों को रोका। पुलिस को देखकर दोनों वापस भागने का प्रयास करने लगे, लेकिन उन्हें तुरंत पकड़ लिया गया। उनकी पहचान इरफान और वसीम के रूप में हुई, जो जखानी के निवासी हैं। तलाशी लेने पर उनके कब्जे से 5.45 ग्राम और 5.54 ग्राम हेरोइन जैसी मादक पदार्थ बरामद हुई। इस संबंध में थाना उधमपुर में एनडीपीएस एक्ट की धारा 8/21/22 के तहत एफआईआर संख्या 143/2026 दर्ज की गई है।

DC Udhampur reviews Action plan for 100 day Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan UDHAMPUR, APRIL 10: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Minga Sherpa today chaired a meeting with officers of the line departments to review the action plan for the 100 day campaign under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Prem Singh and other senior district officers from the concerned departments. Reviewing the preparations of stakeholder departments, the Deputy Commissioner directed the officers to maintain close coordination for successful implementation of activities during the campaign. “Inter-departmental coordination and effective execution of activities are vital for achieving the objectives,” he noted and added “The awareness activities and programmes planned for the campaign aim at sensitizing the public and reinforcing collective efforts towards building a drug-free society.” Stressing the need for extensive grassroots-level outreach, the DC instructed stakeholder departments to activate field staff to mobilise community participation, which is crucial for eradication of the growing menace. He also stressed on promoting awareness about the government welfare schemes.

District road safety committee meeting held at Udhampur DC calls for strict enforcement of rules, corrective measures UDHAMPUR, APRIL 07: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Minga Sherpa today chaired a meeting of the District Road Safety Committee to review and strengthen road safety measures across the district. The meeting was attended by the Superintending Engineer, PWD, along with other district officers of the stakeholder departments. A detailed discussion was held on several critical aspects, including removal of dumped material from city areas, effective implementation of Motor Vehicles Act, identification of accident-prone black spots etc. The meeting also deliberated on equipping ambulances with trauma kits, ensuring strict enforcement of traffic rules and taking measures to minimize road accidents. Focus was laid on regular road maintenance, close check on overloading and over-speeding, curbing rash driving and conducting sustained awareness programmes. Other key issues discussed included improving traffic management systems, decongesting busy routes, checking school buses, installing proper signage and carrying out safety audits of all major roads. The DC exhorted all concerned departments to work in close coordination, expedite execution of safety-related works and regularly monitor vulnerable stretches. Emphasis was also laid on organizing road safety awareness programmes in colleges and other educational institutions. The Executive Engineers of PWD and PMGSY were directed to ensure proper maintenance of roads to prevent mishaps. They were further instructed to identify black spots and undertake corrective measures such as installation of signboards, road markings and crash barriers at vulnerable locations.
