*Long-Absconding NDPS Accused Arrested by Udhampur Police After 11 Years* Udhampur Police, in a significant operation, has apprehended an accused who had been absconding for a long time. The arrested individual has been identified as Ashok Kumar, son of Pritam Kumar, a resident of Salwara, District Hoshiarpur (Punjab). The accused was wanted in connection with FIR No. 17/2008 under Section 8/15 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Kud. A warrant under Section 512 CrPC had been issued against him by the Hon’ble Principal District & Sessions Judge, Udhampur on 14/08/2015. The accused had been evading arrest for nearly 11 years. After sustained efforts, Udhampur Police successfully arrested him from Hoshiarpur (Punjab). Following his arrest, the warrant was executed, and as per the orders of the Hon’ble Court, the accused has been lodged in District Jail Udhampur.
