Scooty RC Suspended After Viral Video in Udhampur Udhampur, December 15: The Registration Certificate (RC) of a scooty bearing Registration No. JK14K-3342 has been suspended for a period of three (03) months with immediate effect. The action was taken after a video went viral on social media showing a two-wheeler carrying six (06) students, an act amounting to gross violation of traffic rules and endangering public safety. The incident reportedly involved GDO Boys in the Udhampur area. Taking cognizance of the matter, the Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO), Udhampur, ordered the suspension of the vehicle’s RC under the relevant provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act. The Transport Department has reiterated that such reckless and dangerous acts will be dealt with strictly, and parents, students, and vehicle owners are advised to ensure compliance with traffic laws to avoid legal action.
